What is Rotary?
Rotary is a volunteer organization with approximately 1.3 million members in approximately 32,000 clubs around the world. The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.

Why should I join?
If you want to meet a group of positive business and professional people who are interested in making Caldwell County and the world a better place, then come for a visit. We have a variety of charities and projects that we support both financially and with our efforts. The more you get involved, the more you get out of it. You will grow personally and develop many new, diverse and interesting friends while we work together to make the world a better place.

Who is in your club?
With about 20 members, our club is made up of a broad range of businesses and professions. We are a mixture of young and older members from diverse backgrounds - an invigorating group with many community connections.

When do you meet?
We meet every Tuesday morning (except holidays) at 6:44am at Clarence's Friendly Lunch in Lenoir. Meetings usually wrap up just before 8am. A full, made to order, breakfast is served.

How much does it cost?
There is an initiation fee of $50 and a quarterly Rotary membership fee of $140. This covers your weekly breakfast, Rotary International and local dues. You may choose to be a part of donation activities like our CART fund for alzheimers research. All giving is optional.

What do you do?
We participate in many service projects in Caldwell County and support many Rotary International projects. Locally, we award student scholarships and sponsor/conduct the annual Caldwell Sports Hall of Fame awards. We conduct and participate in fundraisers to fund these projects.

What are attendance requirements?
In order to get the most out of the ‘fellowship’, we encourage members to attend all the meetings. Our club strives for and maintains a long record of 100% attendance. You may make-up a meeting at any other Rotary club or online at rotaryeclubone.org.

What is the membership process?
It is a good idea to come along to a few meetings and meet some of our members and see if Rotary would be a good fit for you. Should you decide to join, you will be asked to complete a membership form. The club president or membership chairmain will meet with you to answer any questions you may have, and to ensure you understand the obligations of membership. Subsequently, the board will consider your application and once approved, it will be published in the bulletin for 2 consecutive weeks. You will then be inducted into the club at one of our weekly meetings.

What can I expect at a meeting?
One thing you will notice immediately is the welcoming atmosphere at Caldwell Rotary. The pre-meeting breakfast is lively and is a great opportunity to get to know some of your fellow Rotarians. The program and business meeting usually ends before 8:00.
